a language for character — and the medicine it asks for

Most people meet Bazi as fortune-telling: what will happen, who to marry, when the money comes. That is not what this center is for. A chart is first a vocabulary for temperament — 五行 elements, 十神 ten gods, 藏干 hidden stems — words precise enough to describe what a person is actually like in a way “introvert” or “type A” never manages. Two things follow from having that vocabulary at all:

1. A framework for understanding character — yours and other people's, named in the same terms, so difference stops reading as defect. Not to sort people into types, but to see them.
2. The medicine each of us needs — a structure that runs hot needs different care from one that runs dry, and what steadies you can starve someone else. Read this way a chart is not a forecast, it is a prescription pad for attention.

Held honestly: the engine computes the vocabulary — elements, ten gods, hidden stems, the interactions between branches — all the way through to 用神, the classical name for a chart's medicine, by all five traditional methods (扶抑, 调候, 病药, 通关, 专旺), shown with its full reasoning, never a bare verdict. What it will not do is tell you what to take. Naming the medicine is computation; deciding to take it is discernment, and that stays with people: a teacher, a friend, and finally Christ, who heals temperaments a chart can only describe. a Christian frame, stated up front

A chart describes the temperament God gave — created good, then bent by the fall like everything else. Rebirth in Christ (重生, John 3:3; 2 Cor 5:17) doesn't discard that nature; it restores its direction. That's why the app carries a rebirth slot: before it, the 大运 timeline binds; after it, the chart describes but no longer rules.

The heavens declare the glory of God (Ps 19) — general revelation, readable by anyone, and incomplete. A birth chart sits on that shelf: it may describe patterns; it cannot save, command, or condemn, and where it seems to disagree with Scripture, Scripture wins. We hold the line Matteo Ricci drew in Ming China: 气 and the 五行 it moves through are created substances, not spirits — reading them is reading creation, never praying to it.

So the tool informs; it never decides, and no prediction here carries authority over your standing before God. 2 Kings 18:4: Hezekiah smashed the bronze serpent Moses had made, once people started worshipping it — it had healed, but was never meant to be adored. Follow the Lion, not the chart (Rev 5:5).

the same language, applied to two people

Once you can describe one character you can describe two, which is all a compatibility reading honestly is. Most of them end in a verdict: compatible, incompatible, soulmate, doomed. This center refuses that step. Our pair-reading engine, 合婚, computes exactly two structural layers — how each day-master reads against the other, and how the two charts' branches interact (合冲刑害) — and stops there. It never scores a relationship or tells two people what to do with each other.

That restraint comes from the same place the whole project does: a creation-first theology. A chart describes the temperament God gave two people — good, and distorted by the fall like everything else. Rebirth in Christ doesn't erase that temperament; it restores its direction. So a pair reading here is weather, not a sentence: it can name where two structures rub or reinforce, and it leaves the decision — the covenant, the commitment, the actual love — entirely to the people in it.

why we compute this at all

Bazi has been practiced for over a thousand years, almost entirely without anyone checking whether it works. We think that's answerable. Every chart here is computed the same deterministic way — astronomy-grade solar terms (VSOP87D), a pinned Python oracle, byte-matched in CI — so two people get the same chart from the same birth data, every time, from anyone's installation. That reproducibility is what makes the system testable at all.

Entering your birth data is how you join that study: every computed chart becomes a research record — the inputs plus everything the engine derives — held under covenant, deletable, and (soon) the basis of preregistered outcome surveys. Nulls get published with the same ceremony as hits. If Bazi carries real structural signal, a public, reproducible commons is how anyone finds out; if it doesn't, the commons should say so plainly instead of letting thirteen centuries of anecdote stand in for evidence.
